Austin Newmark Wins the 2011 Bondurant CRS

AustinNewmark-2011CRS-2Austin Newmark of Sierra Vista, Arizona has won the 2011 Bondurant Championship Race Series finishing ahead of the other top Formula Mazda drivers, Dylan Albiani and Ryan Winchester. “It was another great race season that saw very competitive racing all year long amongst Austin, Dylan, and Ryan. Congratulations to Austin Newmark for a dominating season, I am sure he has a bright future in motorsports,” stated Alan Rudolph, Director of Championship Race Series. Austin finished the race season with 1470 points winning 14 of the 15 races.

Newmark’s statement after receiving the Championship trophy, “First, I would like to thank Bob Bondurant and the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving for giving me the opportunity to compete in such an awesome series. This season in the BCRS I matured and learned so much as a race driver, and had fun while winning the championship. The racing was close and the cars were spot on weekend after weekend.”

Dylan Albiani, who finished second in the race series added, “I would like to thank Bondurant for putting on this awesome series, I learned so much more as a driver this past year. I would also like to thank all the guys at UTI for all their effort they put into these cars between sessions. Let’s not forget about Jason, I know he worked his tail off at the shop to get all these cars prepared.”

Ryan Winchester, who finished third, “I wanted to say congrats to Austin for dominating the championship. I hope I get a chance to race against him in the future.”

Austin was awarded a ride in the Formula Mazda NASA Nationals courtesy of World Speed Motorsports and a test weekend driving a Daytona Prototype thanks to Finlay Motorsports.
